NEC Philippines Ubiquitous event attended by around 300 customers and partners, made up of 27% "C" level execs, 60% management and 13% others.

July 26, 2006, Manila Philippines- Approximately 300 customers and partners packed NEC Philippines 10th Anniversary and Ubiquitous Event held from 4-9PM at the The Loft, Rockwell, Makati City. The event began with welcome remarks by NECPH Executive Vice President Doy Santos, followed by speeches from NECSAP CEO Tomohiro Yagi and ISPD General Manager Hidenori Kuji.

The Ubiquitous event was highlighted by a "surprise" number gamely participated in by MACS Regional Director David Ooi during the presentation made by NECPH Director for Business Development, Marketing and Support Marivic Gamo to kick off the unveiling of the product exhibit which featured, among others, hardware and solutions from retail, RFID, servers and storage, Contact Center solutions, network solutions and Biometrics.

Attendees of the Ubiquitous event cited the following products as the most interesting (ranked highest to lowest): Networks, Biometrics, Servers and Storage, RFID, Retail and Contact Center Solutions.

The Ubiquitous event culminated NECPH's full day which started with a press conference in the morning, well attended by both local and Japanese media. The press conference yielded published releases in majority of Manila's broadsheets and trade publications by the next day. The press con was followed by the blessing and inauguration of NEC Philippines' new offices located at the 4th floor of Rufino Building, Ayala Avenue, Makati City, which is in the heart of Manila's business district.

The events were also graced with the presence of guests from the region like: Daisaku Takeuchi (ISPD), Yukiya Okada (ISPD), Leonard Oh (NECSAP) Masako Hirano (BCCS), Tan Swee Aun (NECSAP) Regina Lim (NECSAP), Danny She (NECSAP), Minoru Fujikawa (IBPD), and John Poon (NECSAP). The event was also made possible through the assistance of other regional colleagues like Katsunori Yabumoto (NEC Indonesia), Tatsunori Shibata (NEC Corp.), Maurice Yu (NECSAP), Aloysius Tay (NECSAP), Lee Yiew Weng (NECSAP), Victor Lim (NECSAP) and Paul Lee (NECSAP).
