NEC Philippines EVP Speaks on the New Role of the Public Sector CIO in E-Governance Conference

May 19, 2006, Manila, Philippines - NEC Philippines joined other private and public sector dignitaries during the recently concluded CIO E-Governance Conference last May 19, 2006 at the EDSA Shangri-La Manila, Philippines.

NEC Philippines was invited to join the CIO E-Governance Conference by the CIO Forum, Inc., an organization of Government CIOs. Leonardo Santos, NEC Philippines Executive Vice President, as one of the plenary speakers presented his views on the new role of the CIO in the public sector plus the empowerment that ubiquitous communications can provide ICT.

The event was attended by leaders from both the government and private sector. In addition to the presentation of Mr. Santos, NEC Philippines was also able to showcase its various products and services in the exhibit area outside the plenary hall.
